♱ Vocational Resources ♱

"For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul"

~ Proverbs 2:6-15

7 Helpful Tips

#1: Eucharistic Adoration

“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth. Each moment that you spend with Jesus will deepen your union with Him and make your soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in Heaven, and will help bring about everlasting peace on earth.” - Mother Theresa of Calcutta

#2: Frequent Confession

Every time you go to confession, immerse yourself entirely in My mercy, with great trust, so that I may pour the bounty of My grace upon your soul.  When you approach the confessional, know this, that I Myself am waiting there for you.  I am only hidden by the priest, but I Myself act in your soul.  Here the misery of the soul meets the God of mercy.

- Our Lord to St. Faustina (1602)

#3: Daily Prayer and Examination

"A beginner must look on himself as one setting out to make a garden for his Lord's pleasure, on most unfruitful soil which abounds in weeds. His majesty roots up the weeds and will put in good plants instead. Let us reckon that this is already done when the soul decides to practice prayer and has begun to do so."
- Saint Teresa of Avila

#4: Spiritual Reading

“You will not see anyone who is truly striving after his spiritual advancement who is not given to spiritual reading.”

 - St. Athanasius

#5: Invoke your Guardian Angel

Invoke your guardian angel that he will illuminate you and will guide you, God has surely given him to you for this reason.

- St. Padre Pio

#6 Pray the Rosary

“The Rosary is the best therapy for these distraught, unhappy, fearful, and frustrated souls, precisely because it involves the simultaneous use of three powers: the physical, the vocal, and the spiritual…”.

- Venerable Fulton J. Sheen

#7 Read the Holy Gospels

“When you open the Holy Gospel, think that what is written there, the words and deeds of Christ, is something that you should not only know, but live. Everything, every point that is told there, has been gathered, detail-by-detail, for you to make it come alive in the individual circumstances of your life.

- St. Josemaria Escriva
